Costa Rica destination for nature lovers

TAKING SUPER HUSBAND ON A TOUR

Little that I knew about the country before getting there, we went trekking in the forest and on a river cruise searching for sloths and monkeys.
Kevin had to be convinced to pay a local guide and go on a tour to see the beauty that Costa Rica had to offer.

This time we planned in advance and for 70USD each we went on a six hours tour. Booking same tour on board the Celebrity cruise would have cost us double so worth the search and the trouble. We had a great guide plus the size of the group was really small. We were 8 in total compared with paying 150 USD per person and be part of a 30 pax size group as the ones organised on board a cruise ship.

We stopped to see the banana plantations, learn about cacao plant and production, then rainforest trekking to observe wildlife. ANd we have encountered Red Poison Dart Frog which is definitely the VIP of my observations. What an amazing tiny creature! We had our new NIKON camera acquired in New York that we did not know how to use it. One year later, at the time of this posts, we still do not know how to use it. But one day we will know! Just not right now...
At the end of the trekking, we boarded a boat on a canal cruise to find crocodiles, monkeys, and sloths. We were not lucky to see a crocodile but damn those sloths! First time ever seeing them and I was already in love! Love at first sight!

One of the stops was to taste the local fruit and I promise you the bananas and mangos were one of the tastiest I have ever eat! PURA VIDA my friend!
